10 reasons why I love and hate Chef Gordon Ramsay
74It is difficult to escape British chef, restaurant owner, and television personality, Gordon Ramsay nowadays. He seems to be always either presenting a new show on television, being interviewed, making a guest appearance, opening or closing one of his many restaurants, or hitting the newspaper headlines with lurid stories about his alleged affairs or family troubles. The thoughts below are my own personal opinions, but I am sure that I am not alone in finding Chef Gordon Ramsay a very difficult character who inspires very mixed feelings and reactions, from warmth and admiration to anger and scorn. So here are my 10 reasons why I love and hate Gordon Ramsay.
10 reasons why I love Gordon Ramsay
- Gordon Ramsay is extremely hard working and that is one of, if not the main reason that he has had so much success as a cook, restaurant owner and tv personality.
- GR is tough and doesn’t take any nonsense from people. In fact it is amusing to see people trying to B.S. him!
- Chef Grodon Ramsay gives some genuine insights into the restaurant trade and has achieved results in helping people turn around their struggling businesses in his Kitchen Nightmares television show.
- Chef Ramsay speaks his mind and tells the truth, even if sometimes the people he is talking to don’t want to hear it.
- Gordon Ramsay’s cursing is part of his personality and charm and is the way that people speak in hot, stressful kitchens.
- Nobody seriously disputes that Gordon Ramsay is an excellent chef and can cook excellent food.
- Chef Gordon Ramsay actually knows what he’s talking about, unlike many other celebrity chefs that you see on television who are usually 95% celebrity personality and only 5% cookery and restaurant trade.
- Chef Ramsay started with nothing, had a tough family life and background, yet still managed to work his way up the restaurant trade from the bottom all the way to the top by the time he was forty.
- Gordon Ramsay does a lot of great work for charity.
- Gordon Ramsay raises food standards generally through highlighting issues such as cleanliness and quality on his television shows.
10 Reasons why I hate Gordon Ramsay
- Gordon Ramsay is arrogant, pig-headed and shows prejudice against some types of people, for instance, some of his remarks against women are offensive.
- Gordon Ramsay can come across as a bully sometimes when he is haranguing people.
- Chef Gordon Ramsay uses crude language and he is always cursing. This behavior is unnecessary and a bad example for children and adults alike.
- Chef Ramsay’s talk about an idyllic family life in the media would appear to be a cynical publicity ploy, if you believe the allegations made about him having at least one extra-marital affair and his battles with his in-laws.
- How does Gordon Ramsay have the nerve to dish out advice to struggling restaurant owners when we read that some of his own restaurants are failing or have failed financially?
- Gordon Ramsay should focus more on what he’s good at, which is cooking, and spend less time trying to be a tv personality and celebrity.
- If it is true that Chef Gordon Ramsay received plastic surgery recently then that is a big mistake in my opinion. He is a chef, not a male model, or a movie star and it sounds like his vanity is overtaking his common sense.
- Chef Ramsay releasing a public letter that attacked his in-laws was a major error of judgment in my opinion, whatever disagreements they have, they should try to solve them in private. One can only imagine how upsetting it must be for the children.
- Is Gordon Ramsay a serial womanizer? There have been allegations and rumors made in the newspapers that suggest he has had more than one affair and it does make you wonder?
- Gordon Ramsay has been less than truthful about his past on some occasions, for instance, he has claimed that he played two first team games for the Glasgow Rangers soccer team in Scotland, but the team’s historians say that he was never signed for the team.

I love Gordon!!! Even his flaws :)
I have always loved GR. He has fantastic entertainment value and despite his tough front, he sometimes shows that he has a big warm heart under that rough exterior.
Gordon is a f*cking MAN, who has achieved more than you, earns more than you, gets laid infinitely more than you, is infinitely more relevant than you, cooks way way way f-ing better than you, and uh...uh...yeah, well, there are no other more relevant metrics really. Your name is? Who? Sorry, never heard of you. Gordon Ramsay? Fuck, for sure, man, who hasn't heard of him!
Gordon is a wonderful chef, and has helped many on their career paths. He also has helped many save their businesses from going under. He has worked so hard to help others get on the right track. On another note...His personal life is none of our business. What he did or didn't do is for him and his family to sort out in private. Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone.
io adoro gordon rasmsay ...........................................................................ciaoooooooooooooo
I like Gorden Ramsey but none of the restaurants he saves ever make it after he leaves. 1 out of 20 make it...

I like his crazy personality...maybe it just seems to suit him...But sometimes he goes into such rages that I would worry that it could affect his (heart) and health. To sum him up, what you see, is what you get...He is not a phony and he's worked hard to get where he is today.
